TRAVEL TO VERO
Vero is centrally located in Indian River County on Florida’s East Coast
between Palm Beach to the South and Cape Canaveral to the North.
Vero has a municipal airport for private aircraft.
AIR TRAVEL
Three airports near Vero Beach provide air travel options for visitors.
West Palm Beach (PBI) is located about 1.5 hrs south of Vero Beach; major carriers offering direct flights include Delta’s SONG and Jet Blue. Head NORTH on either I-95 or the Florida Turnpike out of the airport.
Orlando (MCO) is located about 2 hrs northwest of Vero Beach. Major carriers offering direct flights include Delta’s SONG and Jet Blue. Head West on 528/the Beeline to catch the Florida Turnpike South or East on 528/The Beeline to connect with I-95 South to travel to Vero.
Melbourne is located approximately 45 minutes North of Vero, offering direct flights to Atlanta for connections across the country.
Vero can be reached from the airport by either taking either I-95 or Highway A1A South.

Ft. Lauderdale: approximately 2.5 hours South; Miami: approximately 3 hours South (We recommend the Turnpike to reach both in lieu of I-95, whose traffic can be dicey) Jacksonville: approximately 3 hours North; Tampa: (West Coast) approximately 3 hours West
DRIVING TO VERO BEACH
Vero Beach can be reached from:
NORTH OR SOUTH
I-95: exit 149 (SR 60) Driving time to the barrier island off I-95 approximates 20 minutes; take SR 60 East to junction with Indian River Boulevard; take a right for 1 stoplight to left over 17th Street Causeway Bridge or left through three stoplights to right over Barber Bridge
Florida Turnpike (toll road) Vero Beach/Yeehaw Junction exit driving time off the Turnpike approximates 50 minutes (travel from the exit just to the I-95 overpass at outskirts of Vero will take a half hour or so); see I-95 for directions to the barrier island
Highway A1A North or South (a great scenic drive)
WEST
SR 60 East: from Tampa across the State; follow directions from Turnpike to barrier island
RAIL SERVICE
The auto train stop nearest Vero Beach is Sanford, Florida located approximately
two hours away. Amtrak stations and Tri-County Rail serve West Palm Beach.
