A non-gated community, Old Riomar is the oldest part of the island. Highly desirable, it was developed in the 1920’s by industrialists seeking respite while en route to Palm Beach, in a place casual enough not to require jackets for dinner! Known for its canopies of live oak trees, many streets remain unpaved in their original ‘shell path’ form. The Riomar Club adjoins the community, though membership is by invitation only. Community runs east of A1A, south and north of golf course. The roads include Bay Oak Drive, Painted Bunting Lane, Riomar Drive, Sandfly Lane, Club Drive, Greenway, Ladybug, and Seagrape. Old Riomar has no HOA and is non-deed restricted.
